Your Diet = your tooth decay
Tooth decay is largely diet-related. When you consume sugary foods, the bacteria in your mouth absorb these sugars and produce acids that erode your tooth enamel.
Tips for a Healthy Smile
- Drink Water Plenty of Times: Water is calorie-free, inexpensive, and great for your teeth. Next time you’re thirsty, choose water over sugary drinks—it’s better for your teeth. Also the frequency helps too especially over busy schedules and after meals.
- Limit Snacking: Constant snacking exposes your teeth to acid attacks. If you do snack, choose options low in sugar, avoiding items like biscuits, cereals, and dried fruits.
- Chew Sugar-Free Gum: Saliva production after meals can be boosted with chewing gum. Saliva counteract acid attacks after meals.\
