Your Diet = your tooth decay

Tooth decay is largely diet-related. When you consume sugary foods, the bacteria in your mouth absorb these sugars and produce acids that erode your tooth enamel.

Tips for a Healthy Smile

  1. Drink Water Plenty of Times: Water is calorie-free, inexpensive, and great for your teeth. Next time you’re thirsty, choose water over sugary drinks—it’s better for your teeth. Also the frequency helps too especially over busy schedules and after meals.
  2. Limit Snacking: Constant snacking exposes your teeth to acid attacks. If you do snack, choose options low in sugar, avoiding items like biscuits, cereals, and dried fruits.
  3. Chew Sugar-Free Gum: Saliva production after meals can be boosted with chewing gum. Saliva counteract acid attacks after meals.\
