Can toothpaste with no fluoride work?

Toothpaste without fluoride can help remove surface stains and freshen breath, but it may not provide the same level of protection against tooth decay as fluoride-containing toothpaste. Fluoride is a mineral that helps to strengthen teeth and prevent cavities by making the tooth enamel more resistant to acid attacks from plaque and bacteria.

If you choose to use a toothpaste without fluoride, it’s important to maintain good oral hygiene practices, such as brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and visiting the dentist regularly for check-ups and cleanings. You may also want to consider other ways to protect your teeth, such as eating a healthy diet that’s low in sugar and high in calcium, and using a mouthwash that contains fluoride. However, if you have a history of tooth decay, your dentist may recommend that you use a fluoride toothpaste to help prevent future cavities.
